Neil Sunil - IPS Employment Specialist

Neil, originally from India has been in Nelson from 2019. He hold degrees in logistics and economics and has a work background in healthcare, especially dementia and in business analysis. Neil is looking forward to working as an employment specialist in Te ara mahi as he thinks this job will bring the right balance between his past experiences in healthcare and business administration into effect alongside helping other people for better opportunities.

Susan O'Connell - IPS Supervisor and Employment Specialist

Susan previously worked for over 15 years as Manager and Administrator of a local NGO that supports families and whanau who have a family member living with mental illnesses/addictions. She was also involved with a local peer-led day activity service.

Susan is excited to work in such a positive role supporting our Employment Specialists to help tāngata whaiora achieve their employment goals.  Susan is an active relaxer who  plays squash, mountain biking, hiking and golf.

Jo Dell - IPS Employment Specialist

Jo has 23 years experience in the healthcare sector, specialising in Diversional Therapy. 

She is excited to be supporting and guiding people to enhance their lives by gaining and maintaining their employment goals. In her spare time, Jo is a Kiwi Conservation Coordinator, encouraging children and families to get outdoors and enjoy nature and what it can offer. Jo is a Reiki practitioner and emphasises her practice on overall wellbeing.

Rebekah Cook - IPS Employment Specialist

Rebekah has a background of 25 years in ECE teaching, including 4 years working as a Visiting Teacher. She holds qualifications in teaching and career development. Rebekah is looking forward to assisting people to find a satisfying career which aligns with their strengths, interests and goals.

Ebin moved to Nelson to complete his degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. With experience in mental health and community engagement, Ebin has developed a strong understanding of the importance of work for the overall wellbeing of an individual. As an Employment Specialist, Ebin is excited to work closely with people to achieve their career goals by providing guidance, support, and resources.

In his free time, Ebin enjoys hiking, football, and badminton.

Sandy started with TeAM in 2012. Sandy loves the Marlborough region and has worked in a variety of industries and has supported a huge number of local people. Sandy enjoys the rapid and intensive job search aspect of IPS employment support and has connections with many local companies and employers.

Hayden has a busy role, covering a wide geographical area. Hayden has experience providing employment support in the disability sector and has well-established connections with a number of agencies, organisations and employers on the West Coast.

Jenny MacFadgen - Employment Specialist

Jenny joined the team in 2022 and comes from a background of mental health nursing working in various roles both within the NGO and Te Whatu Ora sectors. She enjoys connecting with people and supporting them to achieve their employment goals and recognises how employment can be a huge step in people's recovery journey.
